Melissa joined South Coast HR after several years working across a variety of businesses from independent British lifestyle and fashion retailers, to global cosmetics manufacturing companies.
She has experience in supporting site-based and remote managers and employees, from client groups of 25 to 400 across a variety of functions.
Melissa’s most recent role was working in a HR Manager position for a FMCG business based in London, working closely with Directors to expand the retail division of the business.
Melissa has a degree in Psychology and is CIPD qualified with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Portsmouth.
Having a keen interest in psychology and mental health in the work-place, and training part-time in counselling skills, Melissa brings a humanistic approach to bringing HR alive.
Melissa enjoys the challenge and variety of consultancy and seeks to understand and respond to each client’s requirements in an informed, pragmatic and flexible way. Particularly from her fast-paced retail experience, Melissa has a solid background in recruitment, employee relations, redundancies, performance management and exiting employees as well as policy and process development.
Melissa confidently builds relationships with clients to partner with them and their business to quickly and safely achieve their objectives.
